What does that mean??

We were waiting at the elevators and noticed there was a sign for a food drive that was happening in our office building.  As we stood there a couple walked up and the woman proceeded to read the sign.  Then she said out loud, “What does non-perishable mean?”  All my coworkers looked at each other in shock that a middle aged woman just said that out loud.  Had this been a child it would have been cute.  But for a normal looking woman to stay something like that out loud was shocking to us.  WHAT A FUCKING RETARD!!!  At least her boyfriend/husband was kind enough to let her know that “It food that is usually canned and doesn’t need to go into refrigeration.”

Wow, just wow, how do you function in society when you don’t even know what simple words like non-perishable mean?
